I want physical copy when I buy, but I want a soft copy when I play (aka full install).
I want physical copy when I buy, but I want a soft copy when I play (aka full install).
There's part of me that gets all sentimental about the physicality of a cartridge, but on the other hand... games is games.
If digital distribution ever grows up enough to figure out a way to let me play what I paid for when I want, where I want, then I would buy everything digitally. It's better for the environment because it cuts down on packaging, resources, and all the other things that go into producing a physical object, plus it's cheaper too (and in an ideal world those savings would be passed onto me, the consumer. Hooray!)
That said, I've been burned by digital content before. Like when my iPod died, and all the songs I paid for wouldn't go onto my new iPod without some doubtlessly semi-legal tinkering.
And what about the boat-load of Virtual Console and Wii Ware games I've purchased? Will I be able to play them on Nintendo's next system? Does Nintendo think I'll just buy them all again? Will Nintendo make me perform embarrassing song-and-dance numbers in various states of undress? Because I won't stand for it! Not again!
Physical all the way.

Physical.. What can I say... love box arts. Looking at a nicely arranged library of games/movies is a win.
