I will have to agree with this. The Wii and DS are the only hardware I own which the WiFi works consistently.
why would they want to make a computer?
to many companies already do that, and a lot of peopel buy their own parts and build. It wouldn't be viable for them.
Grampy, I think we would have to argue a little to see wich one would be the first in line to buy it. Oh, wait! I live in a third world country. It would take at least two weeks to arrive here. You're the first, man.
Awesome trailer for the new Ganbare Goemon game, to be released in March, 2009 for... Well, it's a Pachinko machine with a display. Oh, God.
*NEW SUPER MARIO BROS WII*: Now it's gonna happen!!! Thank you so much Nintendo.
Nintendo could make mini laptops, After all they have experience providing software that actually serves an educational use.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
Nintendo outsourced the design and implementation of the bluetooth chip to Broadcom. It's a custom design.
I too have never seen a Wii remote fail to communicate with a host Wii.

Both my mac and my fake mac have no issues whatsoever with both wifi and bluetooth. My powerbook has internal wifi/bt, and i have some generic BT adaptor and wifi card for my (fake mac) desktop. I find bluetooth pretty useful if you have BT enabled mobile phone. I use my mobile phone as a remote for itunes and VLC, and have software for osx that provides some great features for computer to phone connectivity and management. For BT headsets, the Jabra headset (Jabra BT-125) that came bundled with my $35 Warhawk still works flawlessly even after a ton of use.
If you don't mind the logo, I've heard the official PS3 BT headset has excellent voice quality, and a feature to use it while charging.
