Forums - Sony - SCEA Announces Planned 2009 Line-up

I don't see any problem with releasing both God of War III and Gran Turismo 5 during Q4 2009 season. It'd get Sony considerably more bang for their bucks and those are two games that Sony needs to motivate console sales during this crucial season. As for Q1 2010, Sony would still likely have Gran Turismo 5 in America as well as God of War III in Japan, and M.A.G. in Europe. There's also relatively big games like DC Universe Online, Team ICO's project and Final Fantasy XIII to fill in the gaps.

Oh, and Incognito should come up with something before too long, and we might still have LA Noire as an exclusive, and another new Rockstar IP

I'd like to see what Wardevil can do in 2009 too, but that is third party exclusive, no?. Any hope for NA Yakuza 3 in 09/10?

Almost forgot about that game. Thought it was vaporware by now.

I know they are Europe but has anyone heard anything from BigBig studios, they are first party and their last game was a psp game in 2007. Maybe something planned for 2009/10

360 version yes but PS3 still on last I heard Digi-Guys said last December that 2009 is the year.

BigBig were bought as part of Evolution Studios, and they have made two Pursuit Force games, but nothing has come out of the studio for a while now. I hope they take control of Eight Days as it seemed like a similar type of game to the games they have made. Hopefully something good comes out of them, as though I loved Pursuit Force, according to this site, they sold nearly nothing

God of War III in America, Gran Turismo 5 in Europe, and Final Fantasy XIII in Japan would be an unbeatable lineup for the 2009 holiday if current release dates hold true. Of course, this isn't counting Uncharted 2 or Ratchet & Clank Future 2 which are both heavy hitters in their own rights. Furthermore, if Sony manages to drop the PS3's price by $100 in every region this holiday, then they could pull a Microsoft and completely turn the current tide of this generation.

Also considering Microsoft's remarkably weak current and potential 2009 lineup and the fact that 360 is getting ever closer to market saturation with little room left for price-cuts (Only $100 to spend over 2-3 years) I have a feeling that we'll be seeing another slew of "Micro$oft iz d00med" threads this time next year.

Seriously dude, that doesn't belong in this thread.

Tease.

I think Sony announces anothers exclusives at GDC-E3-TGS for 2009

@ MM, Sony Bend have been making the Syphon Filter games and now Resistance Retribution for the PSP, unless I am much mistaken

Ah, I forgot about Resistance.  And for some reason I thought their last two PSP Syphon Filter titles hit in 2006.
