Honestly, of course I do not think that is the reason, but do you doubt that these would be the outcomes?

Would fanboys bitch and moan? Undoubtedly...it's the internet after all.

For the record, I think if they knew a solid pre-sale number and that number was extremely high, they would say it. Modesty is NOT a Sony trait (or an MS trait either!). That being said the lack of a number may just mean that they don't have an actual figure to present, not necessarily that it is a low one.

I was just saying it was strange. But with Gamestop imposing a sales limit, I wonder if it not opening is more an ecnomic decision than a sales one.

In other words, it does not have to pay the extra wages and utlities (which could easily total over $300k chain wide) for no extra revenue or profit.

The game does seem to be selling well and getting good reviews -- both of which are good for the PS3 and PS3 owners.
