Forums - Nintendo - Why is the Conduit 'meh?'

To whom this may apply, why do you think the Conduit is meh?  Give specifics please because I want a mental image as to why you think this way.  In short, why?

Pixel Art can be fun.

I have to admit I have no ideal what meh means.

some people like to call it "meh" (you know who you are OK)

and yet when someone says something bad about a game, they say things like you haven't played the game yet or you're basing this on the demo?

so how can the conduit be "meh" when it hasn't even been released and no demo out?

It's a word that shows indifference towards something.  You don't hate it but you don't like it either.

If you compare it next to madworld, it is meh. IMO

no splitscreen no lan = nothing special

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!

bet with *no one yet* that the combined first week of Monster Hunter 3 in america and europe will be 600k or more! winner changes looser sig and avatar for two months!

Meh would mean (atleast to me) not really that excited or interesting. Infact the game may be boring.

i can imagine some will say that that The Conduit doesnt offer anything new. Sure it has nice control, great graphics and a customizable HUD...but what does this game offer that hasnt been done of past FPS?

Thats the main argument i can see people whining about. However Im very excited with the conduit...i cant wait!

"Tell me why does it have to be so hard

to let go when it?s your final day

...When death is on it's way"

IMHO, people think this because they can't imagine the Wii having this type of game. I mean most people are willing to admit that the Wii has had some great games, but they also believe these are not third party games, they refuse to believe in it. So far what I've seen leads me to believe it has the potential to be great.

Probably because FPSes which are as good or better are ten a penny on PS360. However, the genre isn't particulalry well represented on the Wii so I don't know why Wii-only owners would be blase, and even HD+Wii owners might be interested because, even if graphically inferior, HD controls can't touch Wii FPS controls when they're done right, and to have them done right on a quality FPS would make for a great experience (see MP3).

People don't see that The Conduit was never supposed to reinvent the wheel, it was always supposed to be a top notch FPS for Wii, something the console is missing..
