Forums - Sony - Opinions on Heavenly Sword

I just finished Heavenly Sword. I was surprised on the graphics in the cut-scenes, but I think the story was average. Gameplay was just hack `n slash. Didn`t have to read combo list. Too easy I`d say. And the game was too short. I really liked the use of six-axis use. What are your opinions on the game?

It was pretty good, but was short and didn't offer much content to keep you playing it.

awesome experience. Epic game. Some really awesome gameplay with good use of the sixaxis.

Check out my game about moles ^

I don't think it was short. If you play on 'easy' most of games will be too short for you or too boring as there are no real challenges.

I liked the game vary much and recently got stock at the final battle.

Well I finished it in two days. Luckily i bought it used. There`s no reason to go back and play it I think. I wanted new costumes, multiple endings etc. But only reward you get is watching art and "how good we are that made this game" videos.

It was good but too short. Would have been awesome if they added trophies as that would add longevity.

I don't see the point in not using he combo list. It certainly helped me with the guard breakers and stuff. Terrific acting (won't say only voice cause there was a ton of facial motion capture, so that's like acting), good story, excellently delivered because of the acting. I felt some stages were missing of traveling to the king's keep for example, cause as it is, it seams like it's only 20 mile miles away, which does not fit, but not a big deal.
Excellent shooting sections. Good use of the sixaxis.
Hot girl.
Interesting, if somewhat difficult 3 stance fighting system, if you want to be good at it, you have to practice and stay sharp. I recon one can't button mash he's way to the end on the difficult levels.
Still haven't beaten the king's second form because of a combination of lack of time (mostly) and ..., erm, "fear" which made me jump into SW:TFU before finishing it. Definitely want to have a second go at it and perfect my skill if ever time allows, so not short for me.

9/10

i would give it 9/10 all way through, the story was good as was the in game action.

grafix and audio were amazing, bohan music was incredible as was his cutscenes which are amoungst the best ive seen.

but after finishing game there wasnt much to go back to so id score it 8/10

ps. imo heavenly sword had amoungst the best ending sequence.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

What the game needed was more freedom.Yes, it`s an action game, but think about it. Walking trough villages, buying weapon and armor. Playing mini-games. Hmm. I might consider another genre when buying games.
Another thing I think was silly. Why put hundreds of enemies on one screen when you`re too lazy too fix the drop in framrate?

I thought it was fun, not as good as other action games though.
