Forums - Gaming - Why I`d never support microsoft (ever again)

Try to make your joke threads funny next time man. People on this site take everything way to seriously, and you're gonna get flamed to hell.

One thing I don't understand though: How the hell does a war have anything to do with Microsoft making Windows more user-friendly? You must have gotten your thoughts mixed up or something.

If people flame me, then surely I was right when I call them simple gamers, right?

Hunting down pirates when the result is really bad. That`s why I used the war as an example.

"In some countries and to simple people, you can sell almost everything when you have money and a good marketing staff."

Not only do you think the average buyer of the xbox is stupid (thats an opinion fine, but not a well reasoned one considering how long you owned the console). But you also think people from other countries are stupid and overly susceptible to marketing. Which is ironic considering you're from the UK which is one of the strongest regions for the 360.

So you think the console is stupid, the games are stupid, people from other countries are stupid and your own countrymen are stupid.

geez. Cry more.

Hehe. I`m not from UK. I`m from Norway. Well, is beeing simple necceseraly a bad thing? I never mentioned stupid.

Just a few problems with what you say:

1) most consoles these days have average launch games, not just the 360.
2) ms HAS made good inhouse games. FORZA ring a bell?
3) as much as you blame MS about the SE situation, truth is SE are intelligent enough to make up their own mind. You can't blame MS when companies chose to agree working with MS for whichever reason.
3) you forgot to mention the millions of PS2s that died last gen. Similar to RROD but no 3year extended warranties!
4)halo was fun for the same reason goldeneye multiplayer was hailed king- it's not about simple minded people, it's about understanding. You clearly lack understanding. I for example loved open world complex games, but now I work, I have responsibilities and since I live on my own, I got to cook, clean etc. I do not have the time to play big complex games and when I do, sometimes I just want to pick something up and enjoy it without any hassle of having to level up, collect a whole load of shit etc.
5) do you understand it is not marketing alone which helps sell the 360? It is a combination of things!
I.E the much loved and respected XBL, Halo franchise, Forza and PGR franchise, price, Geow, Fable, Ninja Gaiden and the fact in released 1-1.5 years before its competitors and during which time it built a decent library of games.

So you hate marketing? You hate coca cola? You hate films? You hate the Wii for its heavy advertising on launch? You hate McDonalds?

Every company out there has a right to advertise including MS. You don't trust MS, that's fine since it is your opinion, but then you don't go posting on a forum made up by individuals who love gaming. Your opinion has so many flaws, it is an open invitation for people to rip it apart and throw it back at you. There are opinions and facts, my friend, you have to learn the difference.

I am perfectly happy with Gears of War... maybe it is because I don't have a brain...

Gears is a great game!  I think you can stop worrying bro, everyone knows that.  Wish I could use my dualshock 3 though :(

And remember this thread is not made to offend xbox players. If they like falling for microsoft`s marketing tricks and simple gaming it`s ok.

Well then you failed your objective of your thread because you did stereotype about 30m 360 owners there.

Well Norway then. But I went by whats in your profile sorry about that.

If you didn't think being simple was a negative thing then you wouldn't be associating simple with why you wouldn't support microsoft. Its clear you either equate simplicity with stupidity or give it a negative connotation.

Don't shift gears after making strong statements.

I think MS is able to do good things, but far too often they ruin all for their greed, thirst for power and sometimes not even for these reasons, but for pure and simple sloppiness and sometimes for stinginess. RRoD is a clear example of all four of these reasons applying: greed and thirst for power pushed MS to release first, stinginess and sloppiness made it release without adequate testing.

Give him a break, at least he removed the part where he said that he "HATES americans". :)

/shakes head

I can understand hating Microsoft as a company and entity (I still hate them in the PC market)

I do understand people bieng pissed off about RROD.

Unless this is a joke thread like HALOOOOO assumed, then I just have a question. What do you mean a controller that can't play all games? Whats that? I've not had that problem.

and nen. I find the Sony part in your sentance debatable. If MS (who actually had previous exp. with software) isn't worthy than I don't see how SONY (media company, who just sells game systems as a way to push cheap drives) who has consoles that always perform inferior to the competition is worthy.
Not saying people don't enjoy the games, and thats cool if you do, but Im just saying, I don't see someone proporting that MS = unworthy AND Sony = worthy.
