360 DMC4 demo same as the one shown in April, only now with a timer. Footage can be viewed here (Off-screen).

These reports confirm this fact.

However, it appears that the "Lock-On" button placed to the Right bumper button on the 360 is a bit of a jarring experience. Gamespy explains.




The PS3 has nothing to worry about from this game. Nothing at all.

The 360 fans should be more concerned that Capcom get their controls right rather then worrying about which version has the ever so slightest better visuals. Afterall, DMC is about gameplay and contols. Sucky controls = sucky game. Period.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Great thread where it mentions that the difference is almost unnoticeable but somehow this is a huge blow to PS3...

My thoughts exactly. I have both, so I'll decide when the time comes.  I'll get the PS3 version if the controls are better.  The guy says the 360 version looks a hair more polished. That's going to matter to such a small percentage of buyers. I do think this will sell better on the PS3 because of Japan.

It will probably do about equal in the US on each version, because I expect a higher percentage of PS3 owners to get this because of the demographics alone.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft didn't pay Nintendo $250 million dollars to have Perfect Dark called a 3rd party game. Refile that one under First Party. Rareware is wholey owned by Microsoft and all their games are now published under the Microsoft Label.
