Anybody else kinda surprised that KZ2 is coming out in late Feb.? I remember hearing them saying its gonna come out sometime in Feb. back in maybe Nov. or Dec. To me they were basically done the game so i figured when they announce Feb. that it would be sometime earlier in the month not the second to last day. Maybe I'm missing something and their is a reason why its coming out in late Feb.

i a, kind thinking the sme as you. i really dont knoow why they picked late feb, probs did that though so they could give R2 a little bit more time to sell because we all know that Killzone 2 is going to be the final blow for R2's legs.

They pushed it to Feb so it wouldn't cannibalize Resistance 2 sales

game is already done...some stores already have copies of KZ2...they just can't sell it till the 27th...but no idea why the 27th for release date...

he was asking why late feb instead of early or mid feb....if he heard about it in nov or dec....R2 was already out...so i dont think that would have mattered at that point

 yeah and i understood why they did that but i dont understand why they waiting til late feb. to release the game when its been done for a while now and we knew a few months ago they were releasing it in feb.

resistance 2 needs all the sales it can get to be honest, releasing a game like killzone 2 in early feb late jan would have made sony lose sales for resistance 2. a month worth of sales is a lot.

Late February allows the game to sell the bulk of its copies by the end of this fiscal year for Sony in March and allows time for COD WAW sales to die down to the point where it won't steal KZ2's thunder.

Eh, it allows for Sony to get some good profit for the end of the fiscal year while R2 is still able to sell well.
