Anyone here planning on joining any local tournaments?

I have 2 stores near me that are holding SF4 tournaments but both of them are forcing everyone to play the 360 version. One store says everyone MUST use the 360 official pad and the other store lets us use whatever pad we want. That's so weak.

Anyways, I plan to hold a VGchartz SF4 Tourney for this thread. We'll have to agree on a good time for everyone. I'll make brackets and everything, possibly even record the fights and post them on youtube. It won't happen until next month though, so start practicing.

It depends. Ken is a much better at rush downs and Ryu is much better at zoning. Regardless, I think Ryu's ultra is one of the best in the game. If you catch a guy in the air with a dragon punch and cancel it, you get a free ultra combo in as the guy falls. It can even work if someone trades a hit with the dragon punch in mid air. Metsu Hadoken is also great for chipping life away.

Anyways, the general opinion is that Ryu is a top tier, where as Ken is mid... but we all know teir lists doesn't always equal fact.

Yeh I hear Ryu is quite high this time around. Sagat is apparently a very hard fight for Ryu in IV.

Haven't tried yet. I've been mostly playing online and trying out some of the trials.

It'll probably be a pain in the ass though. I'm sure the CPU can get really cheap at time.
