Don't Europeans play soccer games? Didn't Europeans buy GT5 Prologue? Didn't Europeans buy GeoW and Halo?

Obviously games do not require or depend on story to be good. Tetris, Super Mario, and anyother classic game stand testament to that fact. Gameplay is the core foundation of a video game, and all a story could do is add to that game. The only time a bad story truly detracts from game usually is when it distrupts with the gameplay mechanics (interupting cutscenes, attrocious dialogue that break the suspense of disbelief, etc). As long as a story is passable, I can have loads of fun.

BLACK, had a mediocre story, but I played that game over and over. Again, plenty of people play sports/classic games, and I'm sure you as well.

The baddest character of all game......Princess Peach...damn right...you wouldn't think so...but u all know it...she's a slut...going to bowser....you know she was never captured...she always goes to bowser on her free will...playing the little innocent oh mario help me i've been captured...toadstool always following princess peach around under her skirt doing who knows what....and she still maintains the innocent reputation of herself after all these years....now that is badass

Had a good point but that is all I agree with him on.

I just want variety in games. Variety in character, Variety in Enviroment, Variety in story, Variety in gameplay, and not the lets crank them out shooters we see today.

And as far as story goes he lost me when he started praising MGS4. Hideo may have some good ideas but he has the writing talent and directing talent of Uwe Boll with the ego of George Lucas. MGS4 cutscenes could have been majorly cut and condensed and it would have made for a much better game.

Of course as pointed out earlier this is another fad. Remember first it was R-Type Style shooters that came out every other day. Than Mascot Style platformers thanks to Sonic in the SNES era and so forth.

One day you will have games that have adult themes similiar to There Will Be Blood. But tht is a ways away.


Oh and SSJ12 KZ2 would have to retcon the story for the masks if they have to wear them on the home planet.

yeah, this has become very redundant and predictable in gaming nowadays. that's why i love adventure games--way more depth to the main character.

There is nothing wrong with being badass, but these cliche characters makes me want to vomit as well. It's like imagination died in this area. BOOSH!

i just want to play with someone who feels real, it does not matter if there bad ass or mr. wuss lol, look at nathan drake i personally think he is a real guy i can relate to him, but he can handle his own, and then u have kratos he isnt trying to be bad ass he just is bottom line.
