persona 3 and 4 are recent purchases that i haven't really taken a bite out of yet... and i'm not sure if they will get a decent chance till much later due to the coming release of sf4 and killzone 2.

as my ps3 can play ps2 games, I haven't needed my ps2 since 2007 (last game I played on it was god of war 2).

I still play my ps2 games from time to time. Fun games are fun games regardless of their graphics. My ps2 I've lent to a friend.

Not really. My PS2 is inside of my PS3. I've played PS2 games for about 2-3 hrs since my PS3 purchase, the last game being Persona 3. I buy PS2 games, but most are still unopened. I can't even keep-up with my PS3 games - still 4 in the shrink wrap - so the PS2 games tend to take a back seat. DS occupies the rest of my gaming time.

Every time I think I will get a chance to finally put my PS2 to rest(by selling it or trading it in or whatever), some new RPG comes out that makes me want to keep the thing. >

I don't have my PS2 anymore, but i play PS2 games on my PS3 all the time. Right now i'm playing DQ8 which i picked up for $10 and its pretty good so far.

Yup still playing it. And now I have Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness which I bought recently.
I'm seeing pre-owned games starting to go for under $10 now in Australia. So I may pick up a couple more titles.
And I still need to finish Dragon Quest VIII, Final Fantasy XII and God Of War 2.

I play more PS2 games than PS3 ones on my 60gig.

Last game I played was ICO last night matter of fact. Then I watched RockNRolla on Bluray and the last Office (720p mkv :P).

GoW1 and 2 are on my list of best games ever played. Like you said maybe I should give it a try. Unfortunately I've lost my save game.

I still have to finish yakuza 2 and once it's done, I'll probably never play it again.
