We don't really have enough political threads to have it's own forum...

So, I don't think we really need one, seeing as how politics fits in the off topic forum quite nicely. There's really no need for it, so why bother? We can get along just fine with leaving them in the off topic forum.

No, we do not need a forum dedicated to political issues. You could ask the other members who usually participate in them, but I imagine they would agree with me.

This isn't a politics forum, it's a video game forum. Anything that has to do with politics and not games is off topic, therefore, it goes to the off topic forum.

I used to agree with most of you, that another forum just for politics and debate would be a useless waste of time. However, once they added it to the forum, most of the annoying political discussions that were usually put in off topic were separated into a sub section where only the people that are actually interested in them would see them.

However, it was just something I thought might help improve the site, seeing as how it helped mudforums so much. :)

The problem is that we can't give preferential treatment to one off-topic subject and not another. Today it's poitics. The admins secede and allow it. Tomorrow someone wants different forums for movies, sex, beer, etc.

Plus if anything in Off-Topic is getting segregation pulled on it, it's going to be those fucking "Rate the one above you" threads.

God I can't wait until Naz finally says enough with those and all the other spam threads.  I barely visit off topic just because 2/3 of it are those threads.

Ugh, those threads get really annoying. Granted, I may post in some once just for fun, but some people obsessively post just to increase their post count and get some VG$. It's really annoying, especially when some of the amusing threads are buried under all of them. I'd love to see them just go away. >_<
