I believe you are remembering them all correctly. I don't think anyone here REALLY believes Play retains any credibility as a review source.

Also 7 - 8 hours of gameplay is actually the average length, wasnt gears of war like 9 hours? truly if they have a reason for it being so short then so be it if they dont they dont. Theres stories that cant really be expanded on without touching the area for a sequel.

 It depends the most who played it on hard = 8 hours of gameplay
I played it on normal and for me it was = 6 hours of gameplay but you can not compare
those games.

Geez guys lay off leo-j.

Also it isn't necessary to post every single review good or bad just so you can gloat over it.

Everyone in this thread is behaving like a pack of school children.

And for the record IGN review scores are not an average of the parts, but rather reflective of the actual score the game deserves.

It was the UK IGN review that said 6 hours, by the way. And I stand by my stance that any game that can be completely beaten in that little time is barely worth a rental let alone a full purchase. I can rent it 7 times and beat it 2-3 times each for the same price as buying it, and I doubt I'd play it nearly that much if I bought it.

 Whether you liked FFXII or not is irrelevant, what isn't is that $60 is too much to pay for a game that's only 6-7 hours of single player.  Maybe if it was 1987 I could understand a game that length but it's pretty said for such a major title today.


First they say it is less than ten hours.

Then someone with the word  'WII' in his nickname says it is 8 hours of gameplay.

Now you say it is 6-7 hours of gameplay.


What is next?  Soriku who comes in this thread and says it is 10 minutes of gameplay because 
The people who will buy it will throw the game after 10 minutes in the garbage?

It's called a weighted scale.  You don't just average the categories because they all aren't worth the same amount of points.  Gameplay is likely worth the most, because it is a game of course it should be rated highest.  Lasting Apperal is probably the second highest weighted.  Presentation is probably waited 3rd.  Graphics is probably weighted fourth because site is more important to the average person then sound, and sound is likely at the bottom.

If all 5 of those are equally important to you however.  Yeah it's a 7.8.
