It got 2 7's. One from IGN and one from IGN UK. Also... who were the other 2 9's? Only credible 9 i've seen is Gamepro other then Play magazine which actually gave it a 10. (Which considering there overrating is more like a 9.5) and there was Edges review which I think was a 6. (Which considering how harsh they are is more like a 7.) |

It's called a weighted scale. You don't just average the categories because they all aren't worth the same amount of points. Gameplay is likely worth the most, because it is a game of course it should be rated highest. Lasting Apperal is probably the second highest weighted. Presentation is probably waited 3rd. Graphics is probably weighted fourth because site is more important to the average person then sound, and sound is likely at the bottom.
If all 5 of those are equally important to you however. Yeah it's a 7.8.
