Forums - Nintendo - CoD: WaW Wii is tracking better than Metroid Prime 3

Metroid Prime 3 is set to sell between 1.8m - 2m units eventually.

I think Call of Duty: World at War will slightly fall behind that number, but it should still have no problems to sell around 1.6 million. That's a big succes for Activision no matter how you slice it.

With bumps from the New Play Control Metroid Prime titles yeah i can see it hitting close to 2 Million.

Also depending on word of mouth and MW2, WaW can end up in a very good position relative to how well many thought it'd do, including myself. 2 Million isn't out of the question at this point. Looking forward to see how it did overall this week.

You're right on the money though, the game should be able to hit 1.6 Million.

The thing is this bodes well for The Conduit.

1. It has a lot of hype just like Metroid Prime 3 did and is on a larger install base so its first week sales will be above 250k - probably between 300 - 400k and being exclusive will only help it more

2. It'll have a major advertising campaign unlike both these games which will give it more sales from launch

3. It's a mainstream game unlike Metroid FPS will always outsell FPA unless something changes in the future. It's also not a gimped version of a HD game, it's exclusive.

4. It'll have good word of mouth and hence legs just as CoD is seeing on Wii.

Some thing like this perhaps?

That's the best case scenario for The Conduit unless it has bundling etc IMO

lol, bit optimistic are we?

As I said best case scenario :P

but then I think MadWorld can break 1 Million and many don't so I'm probably not the right person to talk to about sales lol
