Forums - Nintendo - Wii skit on SNL last night

Yeah, it's weird. It seems like Wii gets a lot of play in SNL lately ... usually in sketches with Andy Samberg .

So either Samberg is a loud & proud Wii owner, or he's a shill.

Or both.

Either way, the fact that this joke is so juvenile and old (especially to gamers), made me laugh.

lol, that was funny.

Some minor points (and yes I laughed at the sophomoric humor).

The sound effects were out of the 8-bit era.
There is no 2-player option on Wario Shake.
It is ironic getting this PR for a game that is dropping in price (now $30 on sale at most places most weeks -- which is almost unheard of for a first-party Wii title).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I didn't realize in the Wario game you got to shake the living begebbers out of enemies you attack. I need to do more research on the game.

Is my hearing off? I heard "Warrior game," instead of Wario game (although it clearly was in reference to the Wario game).

I saw that last night, it was pretty funny, not "I'm on a boat" funny....but still funny.

I wonder how much of a sales boost Wario Land will get this week.

This is funny

Pretty nice skit consider SNL has fallen off since the 90s.
