Easy,I highly recommend you check out every Wii game in my collection.
If you're favourite genre is action, make sure you save some money for MadWorld. Comes out March 10th in NA.
Everything else I think has been covered :)

Do Not BUY!: if u played RE 4, don't buy it again. Save your 20 USD. There is no purpose. you play the same game with a different controller!!!! And it just makes it easier. |
I couldn't disagree more. I owned the GC version of RE4, and beat it many times. Got the Wii version, and beat it many more times, again. The controls are incredible.
No More Heroes is great, as well as many of the other titles mentioned here. Call of Duty: World at War is also a good current release.

Achievement is its own reward, pride only obscures.
HATING OPHELIA- Coming soon from Markosia Comics!
Sorry but you can't have done jack shit on Wii Sports in a day, don't ou people at least make an effort to finish games you own (true Wii Sports doesn't have an ending, but doing the majority of activities even alone takes a good number of hours, and that's if you don't plan to play multiplayer)

House of the Dead: Overkill
Hilarious, and a great experience if you bring one of your friends over. Takes me back to when I played the first game at the Silver City arcade.

You don't like racing games, but get Mario Kart Wii anyway. You shan't be dissapointed! The game will make you love it.
I gotta say, getting a console for Valentine's Day is pretty leet.
Games to look into would def be:
- Zelda TP - (it's Zelda, nuff said)
- Metroid Prime 3 - I can't say enough about how great this game is. First person adventure/exploration rocks, and its a stunningly good looking game.
- Mario Kart - Because it's not so much about racing as it is an all out war on people to the finish line. And being able to play against 11 other people online is slick.
- Brawl - It's a great game if you're into the multiplayer fighter scene. Only downside is at times getting into an online battle can be slow, but tbh...I have rarely found this to be a major issue.
- Galaxy - Have only spent time as the "helper" collecting stars while my wife played the game, but its really good. Have to say, that little bit of involvement really made watching her play the game fun...and it's a beautiful game to boot.
- MoH:Heroes2 - I have an absolute ton of fun on this game's 32 player online matches. However, with The Conduit coming late this spring...perhaps you'd want to wait for that for jumping into online battle with it's better grafx and improved gameplay/controls.
Definately check into the vast library of VC and WiiWare games. There are amazing games both new and old for everyone, it's just an awesome gaming resource.
I would also highly suggest that you pick up a gamecube controller or a WaveBird (if you can still find one), and a Duracell or Energizer 15 min charger and a cpl packs of the highest Mah batteries you can find to go with it. Always having freshly charged batteries rdy is imperative...and even if you forget, being able to charge 'em up in 15 minutes is the win.
Finally, if you want an even more in depth look at whats available now and in the near future...Go to your nearest newsstand and pick up a copy of this month's Supplement to Nintendo Power magazine. It goes way deep into some of the best gaming experiences available to the new Wii owner, and lists their recommended "First 12" to get. It's quite a good read and very informative.
GL and good gaming!
