What is the best Dragonquest on the DS.  With the delay of DQ9, gonna get my DQ fix so ordering one while ordering Fire Emblem DS.  And I see there is 4, and 5.  not sure if others out for it as well.  But which of these is better, more fun.

And for maybe extra help out of the DS RPG's I liked Chronno Trigger, and FF4.  I did not like FF3.  So if that helps at all.  Like which one story do you like better, which has neater leveling system ect.

Dragon Quest IV DS is the best one. However, it has a horrible localization with missing party chat, tons of changed names, hard to read accents and etc. Pretty much, its a fun game that's missing its soul.

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker is excellent and the translation wasn't tampered with much. The gameplay and everything is 100% left in tact. I would definitely recommend this.

Dragon Quest Rocker Slime I have yet to play, but I hear its good.

Dragon Quest V is coming out in 4 days. It is suppose to be better than IV with the localization, with party chat put back in and no edited scenes or anything. Though still some accents for some characters and pretty much every name was changed.... So we'll see how bad it gets.

Dragon Quest V, which is said by many to have one of the best stoires for a JRPG.

Dragon Quest IV centers around the characters with a chapter based system and its party based chat.  Though that was ruined with the US release.  Dragon Quest V revolved around its story and its 'marriage' system.  You grow up from a child to adult, get married to one of three women and have children.

IV is a delightful game which I recommend wholeheartedly. I'm picking up V based on how fun IV is.

Unfortunately I haven't played Monsters or Rocket Slime so I can't comment on those. Just that IV is very, very, very nice.
