Forums - Nintendo - "Onslaught" FPS on Wiiware.

cool then! =D

The music is awful... but it could be worth £7/$10.

I will wait till someone else buys first and says so though.

I have no clue with this game. I've never seen a downloadable fps before, so this definitely is setting a precedent. However, it might be so barren from being a download title on wiiware that it could be scored horribly if it doesn't do anything else differently.
No offense to wiiware of course, I love the service.

I'm not a fanboy, I just don't enjoy dual analog control.  It's d-pad or wii-mote for me.

the conduit has changed the way wii play games.

I know.  I'm sick of the puns too.

I dunno about consoles but there are quite a lot of them on the PC.

As for the game, I think it could be fun in a similar way to arcade shooters (ie actually going to the arcade) in other words... a bit expensive for what you get (ie 5 times the price gets you 10 times the game content on a disc game) likely no customisation options either... which IMO should be in all shooters, never mind Wii shooters which need additional custom options. But in essence is good fun.... like buying about half of goldeneye again with updated controls and graphics.... and probably not as polished feeling, but still a decent game.

Then again it might be awful.

So has anyone played this game yet?

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

My impressions from the video I saw was that the tech was pretty good, considering constraints, but the game design was atrocious. Needs more fun.

Picked it up yesterday - played through first few missions.

So far - it's worth 1000 points - missions are varied, graphics okay, voiceover slightly annoying.

Haven't got into multiplayer yet.

Once you get a chance to play some multiplayer would you be able to post some impressions?

I've been playing. It's definitely worth 10 quid. The controls are awesome, and it's about scores more than anything else, killing lots of enemies each with weak spots. I'm not having a good time finding people online though. WiiWare has such a small audience at the moment unfortunately.

It's simple and fun. I just wish Wii Speak worked with it (with friend codes).

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
