Vesperia seems alright. But I only played VC, so I like it more. :)

If Vesperia comes to PS3, then I'll tell you how I feel about it. ;)

I own and love both. I have a sealed copy of the Collector's Edition along with my open copy. I have Valkyria Chronicles figures. I love both games. I've put 55 hours in Vesperia (almost beat it) and I beat Valkyria in 37 hours.

However, I think that Valkyria trumps Vesperia in a few areas. The battle system in Valkyria in miles ahead as it's actually innovative. I'd say the stories are pretty equal, but Vesperia has far more cliches. Vesperia has a better soundtrack, but Valkyria has better songs. (just not enough)

See, even the demo isn't that great. We've had numerous people who tried the demo, didn't like it, but really enjoyed the whole game.

I really can't afford to buy this game for 60$ just to try it out with so many games coming out really soon.

Vesperia

There isn't anything wrong with it. It just isn't a very good representation of the full game. Just like the Tales of Vesperia demo.

The demo sucked hard. I hated it, but I loved the full game.
