I think the better question is...why? It'd be great if we had more female members who contributed and worked hard enough to receive contributor and administrator positions, but we don't. Ferret was the only woman that met that criteria, and that's why she's a database administrator.

We've had plenty of girls join the site, but many seem to get bored quickly and not post a lot. We should probably be focusing on a way to fix that instead.
