FF8 is the 2nd highest selling FF ever

it released in Japan 10 years ago on the 10th of feb 1999.

But S-E hasn't done ANYTHING like they did with FF7's 10th anniversary.

I feel FF8 at least deserved some mention from S-E on its 10th b'day.

Anyways do you think S-E will create a FF8 compilation (yes I know the end was quite an "end" so it will be hard to make any story go further)

no, SE doesn't seem to like FFVIII, i would love to have a sequel that finally clarifies the whole how ultimacia came to be, and how fans were righ to believe rinoa is indeed ultimecia.

As far as I know it isnt the 2nd best selling FF game. It's the most successfull FF in Japan, but worldwide it has sold 6 millions (not counting updated versions like Playstation The Best etc, like vgchartz does) while FFX sold nearly 7.

Either way, it's my 2nd favourite FF game. And I dont want any sequels, spinoffs, or even a remake of it.

Edit: Also, it has got the best intro ever in videogames and movies. Every time I see it and hear the music I do realize that there isnt a single other franchise that can compete with FF in presentation.

tha chocobo theme brings back memories!

FFVIII was a great game, they tried to use something different with the Junction system and the Draw system, i actually found it confortable, as it was very FFII style. But as it has been said here, S-E has no love for FFVIII, mainly because it's hasn't got a die-hard fanbase like FFVII has. I can't really see how not, because IMO Squall is one of the best FF characters that have come out so far (But still falls way short of Burtz!!), but that's the reality i guess.

Oh and almost nothing beats Liberi Fatali and Waltz to the Moon!!! :D

I like the chocobo theme from FF5 the most personally

The thing i hated about the game, was junction system, and monsters level up as you do, thing. Gameplay was flawed which made the game not enjoyability. IMO.
