You know i thought the Ghost in the shell movie seriously sucked... but thought the series was good.

Most people think the opposite.

The movie to me seemed to lose it's coherentness, like the merged multiple ideas together rather then staying with one consistant story... also there were things that bothered me that were never explained.

Like... why does the woman have to get naked to be invisible.... yet the guy doesn't?

To me the movie didn't seem to have a natural flow to it.  A lot of the transitions were like "Okay, we're doing this now."

The series was just boring.  A lot of people love it, but to me it was just soooo boring. -_-

I can see people finding it boring.

For me it's the first and only anime I couldn't play videogames while watching....  because like every little bit of dialogue seemed to have plot relevance but you never knew when it was going to be shown as relevant.

It took lots of episodes to put together what was going on and unless your really into politics and stuff like that... it really could drag.

I found it more pretentious than actually interesting.  I'm not bothered by heavy dialog either as .hack//sign is an anime I particularly like.  It's just that the show didn't feel engaging to me.

Well when I talk to people they rarely know Baccano! and I love that anime so I guess that's my best candidate. Also the movie Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind.
