Sad and surprised. I love my job. We don't do shit there. If I don't have a job, I wouldn't be able to buy textbooks, games and other stuff.

I got downsized from IBM in 2004. Last job I had was in 2007. I am still job hunting. It isn't easy. You do what you can, and try to keep focused on what needs to be done. Maybe things will change soon. But, the way life works, I find it best not to comment on what may or may not be until it happens. It is a humility thing.

Well I know for sure i'll be out of a job next december... but then I do have time to look up stuff till then (or be hiered by the group of which my comp is a subsidiary)

Unemployment is hardwork , i'd be devasted.

Move to a country with adequete long term unemployment benefits. Its not exactly rewarding but it is comfortable enough to play SF4 and eat pizza 7 days a week.

I am going to comment from experience that having to play videogames all day, because you don't have much else to do, DOES get old after awhile. It is like someone telling you that you MUST do it. May sound fun if you can't, but it does get old eventually.
