Forums - General - So I just put Advance Wars DS In the washing machine

It would seem I'm an idiot. I couldn't find it for a while, but I figured I just left it at a friends house... does anybody know if it will work once it's dried out?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

You bastard!

And probably not well. :p

Well, it would be an interesting experiment, but there's a possibility that it can damage your DS.

Great title, by the way.

IDK. Let me put mine into the washer and tell you how it goes.

I payed $40 for my copy recently. You may end up having to replace the game.

lol stof. This is some of the funniest things I've read here.

You should try some things.

Can you open the cartridge? If you can, open it and wash it with distilled water or isopropil alcohol (not normal alcohol). Dry it with a clean towel and let dry for a day or two. Then close the cartridge and try it.

If you can't open the cartridge... well, I don't know.

Don't run it through the dryer. It may build up a static charge and zap itself. Let it dry for a very long time, then try it.  It should work fine, I've run my flash drive through the washer and dryer multiple times without losing any data or functionality.

Maybe take a hair dryer to it, then brush it (he he).

Might be hope for it.

Yeah so I did laundry and checked my pockets but forgot to check the tiny pocket and now I lost FF3. This is the second time I did this. The first time the game stayed in the pocket and even worked even though it went through the wash and dryer. Some shirts can't even say that, so that's something...I guess.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

What brand of flash drive do you use? I did the same thing and lost about two weeks of work for my opinion research class.
