I'm thinking I should get this. If you had to estimate how much time you're going to invest in the title, in all, what would it be?

If it's anything like HotD 1 or 3 in the arcade, it's infinitely replayable. Although I wanted to get the highest score on that machine though..

I spent too much money on HotD...

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I would say it is about 3.5-4.5 hours long judging by how long it took me to get halfway. But there are tons of gun upgrades, bonus items in the levels, and level ratings. If you like gun games this is certainly a good deal. It is way longer than HoD 2+3 combined (or Ghost Squad), plus it looks better. It is similar to RE:UC in some ways, but much more fast paced. Even if you don't like gun games, give it a rent- you will still enjoy it.

I got HOTD the other day, it's definitely a fun game, but they do beat you about the head with the f-bombs, lol.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

I don't think I'd mind most of your criticisms, however that sounds really annoying. Do you have options to change that? (IGN said that you can turn off the look around feature, for example)

Well the way mine is mapped you use the "A" button to reload...actually it says that in the directions...You can use the "B" button if you just keep mashing it. I'm not sure if you can disable the "B" for reload completely, I'll check the manual on that.  =p

Good first impression, even if it is just the first level. I just picked this up while taking a lunch break from classes. Can't wait to get home and play with a friend.

I think it's a fun game. The over-the-top cursing gets old a little.
Don't play this game for extended periods of time.
The framerate gets annoying sometimes.
Game is somewhat easy, but I'm sure Director's Cut will be a challenge.
Lots of unlockables
Good graphics

I'd give it an 8.5

Umm I got a question...

I remember hearing an interview from the guys who made this House of the Dead game that they have this cool thing where when you shoot the zombies and it goes in slow motion...

Is this the framerate issues you guys are talking about or is this in addition?

No. In order to go slow motion you have to shoot a specific green item.

@pakidan
when you play the game (if you do), you'll know what we're talking about. There are moments in the game where the game just hesitates for a fraction of a second, and when it happens repeatedly, it can get annoying. The game's still cool, though.
NOw, when you shoot that specific green item Prince is talking about, you'll get the cool slowdown.
