Forums - Gaming - Wii games are dangerous and need to be pulled from store shelves.

I pulled a muscle in my shoulder playing bloom box... then played it again 2 days later and pulled the muscle gain...

I've had a pain in the shoulder for 2 weeks now :p

next time I'll warm up before bloombox =D

(wii fit is not a get fit tool, it's a motivation tool)

As much as I'd like to state how dumb this sounds, I guess there are people out there who don't exercise often and are not very knowledgeable when it comes to warming up and stretching. I suppose with nearly 15m? copies floating around, there are bound to be a generous percentage of users who are new to exercise and are using this as a tool to get them in shape. I'm not sure if proper pre-workout stretching/warmup procedures are recommended in the manual/game or not, but I guess having them would be beneficial.

Honestly though, I'd think people could be smart enough to realize that Wii Fit should be a supplement to normal exercise instead of the end all fix to their physical well being. I find it hard to believe that I live in a generation that requires warning labels for such things.

Person 1: Does Valkyria Chronicles have trophies?
Person 2:  No.
Person 1: Forget it. I'm not buying it.
Person 2: Wait! It's amazing! Unique, charming, drop dead gorgeous... Hello?

Wii Fit recommends warming up first every time you start it up and access your profile. Plenty of exercises/games in the program are low-intensity and make for good warmup material.

Nintendo is the most health and safety anal video game company on the planet, which is why this guy looks like such a clueless attention whore. They've been sued plenty, and they know that a barrage of warning messages is the best defense against liability.

Im going to make sure my friends and family dont play the wii then, cause i care about their health...

"Twenty-five pounds in eight weeks?

I'm not a doctor, but I was told by one that the safe rate at which to lose weight (in terms of cardiovascular health) was a rate of about a pound a week, taking into account daily variations in weight. Doesn't losing more than three a week seem, uh, extreme?"

Well my Mom when she was obese lost 50 pounds in 6 months, but exercising every day and by dieting. She was 45 then. I know she didn't take any pills, so I don't think it's unhealthy.

Anyways as for on topic, this just seems like a desperate attempt to get attention and of course make a quick buck. I seriously don't think anyone is that stupid (although I have been surprised).
