Basically.

If it was a Black person shooting black zombies less people would care.

If it was a Black main character shooting white zombies, people would of claimed racism too likely.  (Though that it was showing black people as violent against white people.)

That and you know.... Africa isn't exactly the greatest place, and considering which part of Africa it's set in... the whole thing seems like it's taking from real life trajedys with ethnic cleansings in the area.

I mean... how would of people reacted had if during Indian resettlment someone wrote a book where all the Americans were infected with a disease that made them savage and wanting to kill anyone not like them.

There are some fair issues with the game being insensitive based on where it's based.

K seriously people who are blaming the game for being racists are the ones being racists since their the ones implying it.

I fucking hated this news a few months ago, and I hate it now.

Double standards are fucked up. Its okay for a black guy to call us cracker or honkey but we say the "n" word (I can't even say it in the forums) then we get punished.

Every shooter in history that doesn't involve aliens, probably involves killing white people.

In those shooters it's always been whites killing whites. If it were a black guy shooting up zombies in South Ossetia, I'm pretty sure some eyebrows would be raised as well.

Yeah, it doesn't help that Kijuju seems to be located right around the Sudan and all that... and that the people and leaders seem to be organized similarly to governments who do ethnic cleansing in the like.  Or at least seem that way in the trailer.

I think this tends to be a more complicated issue, steeped in the region in which the game is set, than many people on this board are going to give it credit for.

Although I'm not offended, there is underlying racism in this game. People will deny it left and right but its right there in front of your eyes. You say since the game is located in Africa we must give an accurate depiction of the African's skin color. Thats strange, Sheva looks like Beyonce instead of the people from her location. So why is she of the lighter variety? Is Capcom saying that a dark skinned female is not good enough? Yes they are.

Thats one example, thats not even the end of it though.
