Yeah... Mario Chess... Mario is the king, Peach the queen, Luigi the towers, Yoshi the horses, Toad is the bishops and the pawns are mushroom... also the other set would be... Bowser the King, Bowser Jr. the towers, Boo the bishops, Birdo the horses and Koopa the pawns... i can't come up with a queen... but it could be anything... maybe a lakitu or those nasty wizards from the mario series...

Now back to reality... i think it would be a good game to be included in the WiiWare download service... for like 500points or something like that...

This game may not sell millions (or even 0.5m) but it will sell. I've bought multiple versions of ChessMaster because I love to play chess and i'll typically buy it for $30. If it has a good tutorial/learning tool, then i'd definatly buy the game.

Yeah it would require online, alot of options and play variates like you get with pc chess games. Plus no more than $20.

As long as the Chess is actually decent - i.e. something akin to ChessMaster - I'll consider it. And I hope it has online, its a perfectly trivial application to take online.

This is a minor seller to be sure, but it will sell (assuming it's any good).

I've no problem with Wii Chess, I might even get it if the price is right, it has all the bells and whistles and is online.

Nintendo clearly hasn't promoted this, and I'm sure it's not exactly pulling a lot of resources from other more 'worthy' games, so what's the harm?
