Free Healthcare is great as long as you don't want access to healthcare ...

Overpriced healthcare is great if you can actually pay for it.

If you weren't aware of it, we're essentially pointing out the same problems ...

There is a very large cost associated with delivering healthcare in the developed world in a large part due to safty regulations surrounding pharmacuticals and (often unnecessary) malpractice litigation. At the same time Healthcare is a very limited resource in a large part because of how few people take care of themself, and how many people take advantage of a system (if it is free).

Regardless of who is paying the bill (it will be you either way) these problems will still exist, and many people will have no access to healthcare ... The problem with government run healthcare is it becomes a political sacred cow and nothing can be tried to make the system more efficient.

nope, wrong again, we can improve the NHS (example of government run healthcare) invest heavily in it (another thing my tax policies would make possible) and invest wisely at a local level, so if one area needs treatment A we give them that treatment and if another area dosent need treatment A but treatment B, we give them a bit of A but alot of B

I can guarantee that 5 years from today your access to healthcare will be worse than it is today or you will be spending more money on healthcare.

In the 1960s and 1970s when Canada’s healthcare system was affordable childhood obesity was under 5% and adult obesity was under 15%. These obese children and adults are now the ones who have pushed preventable illnesses caused by obesity to the level where it is the leading cause of preventable death and the biggest cost in our healthcare system. In the last decade childhood obesity has reached 25% and adult obesity is over 33% and in the coming decades the demands these people will put on the healthcare system is unprecedented.

In Canada we have free health care as well :)
However, USA would rather give money to bail out the fat cats of wall street than give free medicare. They obviously need to get their priorities straight.

We have healthcare you don't really have access to ...  If you need a family doctor it will take years before you can find a decent GP who is willing to take on patients, if you have an emergency you have to hope that the wait time in the emergency room is short enough that you don't die before seeing a doctor, and if you have a serious illness that requires you to see a specialist you better pray you don't face complications in the months it takes to get your apointment.

LoL, joke post?  If u are sick u can go to the doctor the same day for a walk in check up.  If there is an emergency, the hostipal take u right away.  I have no clue what kind of crap ur government feeds u, but ur way off dude.

you must not work to think it is free. When 50% of what you earn goes to the government, do you still consider the health care free?

And no, health care isn't a right. health care may be a nececity, but it isn't a right. You don't have a right to free food either. You have to work for it, or hope someone is willing to give it to you.

Anyways, I'm with happy, even the doctors I know think this socialized health care is the worst thing we could do for their profession. It just overcrowds underpaid hopsitals, and quality of service drops all around. That doesn't mean we shouldn't help people who can't afford it, but it also doesn't mean the government should run the health industry.

are your figures on obesity or dangerous obesity?, theres a differnce, you can be obeise without it being damaging for your health, also one way of tackling this is through education, if we teach people more about the risks from a younger age, thoose rates will probably go down.

so you think poor people should be left to die becaue they cant afford insurance?

you should only be paying a 50% tax rate on an income of over £100,000 a year, most people pay less than that, and why shouldnt tax payers money be returned to them in the form of state healthcare?
