1 Halo 3
2 Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
3 BioShock (360)
4 BioShock (PC)
5 Metal Gear Solid 4
6 Rock Band
7 Backbreaker
8 Smash Bros Brawl
9 Super Mario Galaxy

IGN's most popular games. Most likely due to Halo, Metroid, and Bisohock's close releases, but I think outlawauron wins.

I would say Halo 3 wins the short term and Mario Galaxy wins the long term.  Halo 3 being the best selling (home console) game of 2007.  However, with the kind of attach rate Nintendo games get, I figure Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Mario Kart can all match Halo 3's sales, with Galaxy and Kart outselling it in the long run.

yes if wii does outsell xbox by as much as its looking then ya in the long run good chance, unless a higher percentage buys halo this gen, and low for mario

but i still think it might be up in the air

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

I agree, the sales of these games are not set in stone.

For you people holding onto the idea that the game is 10-15 hours long because the developers say so: I can tell you from experience that number is purely an estimate and I can easily see how it's can be off.

Generally, when you're planning out a level (or chapters it seems in this game), you plan out how long you want the average player to take. It seems like they wanted each chapter to take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete and it could have originally taken that long. During the development it could have come up that the game was too hard or cuts in levels had to be made that seriously shortened the time. I imagine fighting got simplified (easier) and enemies were reduced for level optimization and that could more than likely account for the missing 4-6 hours.

Its funny how 1 review pops out people forgot they played a demo for the game.

I knew that the review would be lower then a 9 do to the... oh... 95 posts. But a 7? Jeez. I was thinking more an 8. I mean that's below IGN's average. HS can't be a below average game can it?

Ah wait.  It's IGN UK.  I'll wait for IGN Proper to review it.  People still complaining about it being too short.  Seems like that it's beyond just "Action game" short and pushing the line towards "too short" in general.

Not with Next Gen Ireleand.   Not what i'd consider a credible site at all.

Play Magazine isn't great too... they've overated 75% of released PS3 games compared to everyone elses reviews.

Well lets see.  Play gave Sonic a 9 so there's no point in going by them.  According to Kasz NextGenIreland is pretty worthless I'll assume it is since Ireland isn't exactly a gaming Mecca.  PSW?  I'm not real sure what it is but judging from the cover it's a Playstation magazine and them giving one of the PS3 system sellers an 8 is pretty big.  That's like them wanting to say it's bad but they just can't because they like money.

Yeah but it sounds like there isn't really anything else in the game that wasn't in the demo.
