^does he have a history of violence or is this a first time

Does it matter?

well yeah it does--a wife beater is a guy that has a history of violence towards his wife and or girlfriend

a guy picking a fight is an isolated event

Maybe you interpret beating up a smaller/weaker person to a pulp different then me.

I wouldn't really call assaulting your girlfriend 'picking a fight'. There isn't really much 'fight' in a girl who probably weighs half of what you do.

Edit: Tyson lost those teeth chewing ears.

The fact that Rihanna called 911 would point towards a guy "picking a fight"

Another example of a person (or people) who were blessed enough to have everything that they could possibly want out of life, and fuck it up because they can't use common sense. Just like T.I., DMX, Lil Kim, and tons and tons of others: When you get a chance to make it big, GROW UP. Quit acting so damned stupid.

my father was a wife beater (reason my mom left and they got a divorce--god what was that like 16 years?)

and there is a difference b/t those people and the one that just lose their cool

that why i will hold off "wife beater" status to those that really deserve it

thats why i asked does he have a history of violence aganist women?

It's kind of hard for a 19 year old kid to have a history of violence towards women, IMO.

Also, do you need a history of killing people to be chastised for doing something that is considered wrong?

like it or not not all crimes and criminals are equal

did he f up ---yes

did he f-up on the same level as oj? or tyson?

if a kid falls asleep at the wheel and kills someone should he be held to the same level as say Gacy?

His career will be fine, BTW. R. Kelley urinated on a 14 year old ON VIDEO and he's still doing okay. Akon bodyslammed a kid at a concert and humped a juvenile female onstage. Much like every other celebrity, from (Crackhead) Flavor Flav to (Cocaine user) Lindsay Lohan, there will be little or no penalty.

I've seen women horribly beaten by their boyfriends. When they go to court and refuse to cooperate (because they love him and he'll never do it again), the case is dismissed. Sad world we live in.
