This is just sad. What's even worst is the gameshow going on right now. The only thing Gamespot is reporting for Wii is a Table Tennis game. (Ouch is my only reply to this and that.)



Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

No, they make money of cheap movies like "Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "Knocked Up". Studios like making huge blockbuster movies that bring the company lots of prestige, but between CGI costs, advertising budgets, and paying AAA actors, those movies barely break even. Studios make their money on those cheap comedy movies and use the profit to fund huge budget action movies.

Same with game studios, obviously Crysis and Assassin's Creed are games you want associated with your company. People want to make these games and have them on their resumès. Does it matter that they will only sell 1/10th that of Pokemon? Not really, its all in prestige, companies like Ubisoft want to be able to walk into a conference and say "Look at this shiny new action game!" rather than say "Look at this puzzle game for the DS, it looks like something a budget studio made but it will sell."

 do you have a brain ? they made 3 pirates movies for one simple ass reason, THEY MADE lots of MONEY.

I have saied this before !

Wii people will play with the casual RE UC

and PS3/Xbox360 owners will play with the real sequel RE5

It is what I was fearing for the Wii owner : third party support will make party game on Wii (simple to make+sell well) and big project on PS3/Xbox360

Wii will continue to sell but it will not be able to catch some gamers PS2 owners that are not appealing on Nintendo products and party game...

 all three pirates movies were pretty darn good though compared to the low grade crap thats released like Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Wait, what casual games is he referring to? Have they even released any casual games on the Wii yet? And don't say Raving Rabbids, as that's an awesome game and one that did get a pretty large chunk of dev resources.

Actually, the Pirates movies were reviewed terribly except for the first one, which was meh.

I'm a little too tired to be outraged. Can someone fill in these blanks?

Wii is just too weak to move big franchise forward. There is no room for development. People say Mario Galaxy looks awesome while it looks way below current average (I'm not talking about artistic appeal but technical aspects).

Also I don't agree with eab - definitely it's nice when 12 million Step-up makes  114 million (1:9,50) but it's definitely nicer when 258 million Spider-man 3 makes 890 million (1:3,45). Simply because you have more freaking cash...

 For once I must agree with Hus, Pirates made a LOT of money and I mean a LOT.
