Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Why don't they complain to the OEM's instead for not pre-installing Mozilla on the systems?

Why don't they go after Apple for making it hard for other browsers to access features in the OS?

cause apple still owns much less than half of the market share.if they ever get to ahving half of market share ,i m sure they'll do the same. They just don't want monopoly

give costumers the choice? People go to Mozilla.com and download FF or go to the OPERA page and download that. Windows isn't enabling users from downloading and using whichever browser they want. It's like saying, lets sue MS because I don't like Paint or Notepad.

most people probably dont know about any other browsers since it comes pre-loaded with one. then all the bad stuff hits them. so by preloading multiple browsers and making a tutorial of each of some sort it gives the costumers the choice of the browser they find suiting

I wonder what google does with their own browser chrome.are they gonna join this file or are they working on their own OS to hit the market

ie is the most secure browser anyways. and its not like they stop people from choosing another browser.

It's not like this stops you from choosing IE

"In that case IE gets the job done. Those people won't notice the difference between IE and FF. I mean seriously, sure FF is better but is the difference THAT great?" Yes, it is. FF is so much more secure, and much faster

"Does this mean Apple have to remove Safari?"
I'm sure many people with much more legal knowledge than us will be considering this, so you might hear about it in the news, but I doubt it - because this move is to stop IE having a monopoly, and Safari isn't a monopoly.

It's not like this stops you from choosing going to microsoft.com and downloading IE. It's not like saying that thing about paint and notepad, because there isn't the same problem that computer illiterate people are being disadvantaged by them being bundled with the OS. Do you honestly know any graphic designers that are struggling to get ahead in their field because they are using MS paint simply because it's there?

so if Mozilla get all the customers who would sue them next?

Mozilla and it's Free Web-browser (Firefox) are jumping into the lawsuit against MS for giving away a Free Web-browser?

Irony, hypocritical, or stupidity?

I wonder if Energizer will take Duracell to court for packaging Free batteries with new TV remotes..

I think the easiest way for MS to fix this problem is to say:

"ok price change, Vista was $199.99 and Free IE, now Vista is $199.00 and $.99 for IE."
