Forums - Gaming - Finally played the Resident Evil 5 Demo.

Day one buy for me.

I thought it was really good just like Resident Evil 4. Playing this in HD with the lights out is going to be a lot of fun. I hope it's as long as Resident Evil 4 was. That game took me around 25 hours to finish.

Did you play coop or alone? Coop is a blast, but the game is quite dull to me when you are playing alone.

I played alone. I didn't even know it had co-op. That just makes it even better.

It's kinda hard to aim the gun the way I want. It's so much harder to aim in Resident Evil than other shooters.

How did you find the controls? Some people are having issues with them...

these people either didn't play resident evil 4...or they don't know how to change controls.

Under options you can change it to be exactly like RE4 was...which is what I did and it felt like home sweet home.

Id be more worried about the dumb AI at times, as controls are fine.

I left the controls they way they were and i enjoyed the controls. Took a few mins to get use to but nothing to complain about at all. I loved playin the demo with co-op.

My issue with the game is that it is Resident Evil 4 in HD with coop. Those are pretty much the only things that set it apart from the last game.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a first day buy for me. I was just hoping for a lot more.

the controls are fine for me there not like other TPS shooters though i used the default one the strafing allows more freedom

my only issues were i don't like the extra character there with me cpu or real life controlled

In the demo the enemy AI wasn't aggressive they would run up to U and then stop wen they got close to U

First of all its not "RE4 in HD".

If it were, you'd have blocky characters running around in murky woods at high resolution. The whole game has been revamped visually. Animations, textures, models, explosions...etc... I can name you a few games that only did this and won game of the year...last year...

Secondly, the whole aspect of online coop changes the game so drastically, its not the same game at all anymore.

I really don't know for what more people were hoping. I mean, the first 3 resident evils were pretty much the same...with different static backgrounds and different stories. And they were great. RE4 was amazing and still blows games like dead Space out of the water...so why not use it as a base to build upon?
