I'd call it punk rock. And they pretty much started the punk rock movement that you hear today. I don't think there would be a Paramore, Forever the Sickest Kids, Set Your Goals, New Found Glory, All Time Low if it wasn't for Blink 182's huge success in the 90's.

I'm sorry, but Blink 182 is NOT punk rock. They are more a pop rock band than anything else.
Also what's with all the excitement anyway, I've been hearing better songs from all their spin-off bands anyway.
