I don't even trust projected numbers for next year...8 year projections seem like guess work.

- By 2014 Blu ray will get 59,7 % market share and will weight 13,1 billions $
- By 2017 Blu ray will get 73,8 % market share and will weight 15,6 billions $
- It's only in 2017 that VOD will becom "popular" and will get a big part of the pie.
- Blu ray will lead the video industry for the next decade.

I think people are overestimating physical media at this point.

It's possible if, and only if, blu-ray players are $30 by then and the movies are standard pricing that DVD is right now, IE $20 or less (outside of the collectors editions).

The reason I say $30 is because that's what you can get a Magnavox DVD player for at Wal-Mart and people still buy those left and right.

Granted I think by 2017 there should surely be another form of movie media out there by then, or digital downloading will be more standard and cheaper.
