| mowe said: This is great news, but it does not automatically mean The Conduit will sell well, too. Call of Duty is a very established brand (mainstream) and The Conduit is as unestablished as you can get (unmainstream). I'm more interested in how House of the Dead: Overkill, Tenchu: Shadow Assassin, and Deadly Creatures will sell (the latter in particular). Only then can I make some judgement about hardcore third-party games on Wii. |
Do you really think CoD benefitted by being "established" on the Wii. The previous version executed the controls so badly that I almost wept because CoD is a favorite of mine and I was so looking forward to playing it with Wiimote control. I never got half way through because i just couldn't stand it.
Hard to say the effect on sales but I do believe it had something to do with the extremely slow start. I know I damn sure was waiting on word that they had gotten it right this time before I even went looking for a copy.
The rest was caused by low shipments and a complete lack of promotional support. But it's in Wiistealth sales mode now and if they will just keep it on the shelf, I am very comfortable with my prediction of 2M by 1/1/2010.
