Very special. If you have a good D-Pad, why would you want use the sticks.

Seems more organic and arcade-like to me, I guess. Not only for fighters, but in general. I would hate to play something like Geometry Wars with dual d-pads, for instance!

I agree with you on that. Analog sticks are superior on most other genres.
