Forums - Sony - YAHOO GAMES rates WARHAWK

http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/1e/news/warhawk-90921e.html It’s difficult to be at all negative about this game, because Warhawk is just so much fun and hugely playable. The only criticism that can be levelled at it is that there is absolutely no single-player option whatsoever so, obviously, leave this well alone if you have no broadband connection. Otherwise this is highly recommended whether you go for the game with bonus extras on Blu-ray disc, or else download the cheaper version from the PlayStation Store. 4 out of 5 they rate bioshock 4.5/5 so with a single player wowhawk>> bioshock

Yahoo?

Getting a little desperate, aren't we?

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

The reviews don't matter to me because I was in the Beta and I know that its a great game. Actually quite alot of people were in the beta due to people have the ability to share the beta downloads. and also having friends over and playing it online with 4 player spilt screen online against other people online.

if you haven't played the game in anyway then it make no sense to claim that a review in the range that beta testers expected being desperate is weak.

the LAIR reviews on the other hand i cant comment on till I get a demo or play it when i rent. (GameFly FTW)

i think its kind of annoying this whole warhawk review issue. its been getting some pretty mixed reviews. it seems anytime some smaller place reviews it high, people are like "SEE, its gonna be kicka$$!!" but when it gets a crappy review, they try to discredit the reviewer. Like the recent article showing a scan from PSM that gave warhawk a 6.5/10. immediately it was questioned because the reviewer used to work for XBox Mag. Now, this seems like a load of crap, because you think PSM would hire a guy they felt would be biased towards xbox? It just seems like conspiracy theory "everyone is against sony" bull. oh, heres the link to article showing scan. http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News-60914.aspx

oh, and this is dumb to say its better then bioshock, because unlike warhawk, Bioshocks reviews are consistently high. Im probably going to wait and see with warhawk.

Um ... why are you comparing Warhawk to Bioshock? That's a horrible comparison. You're comparing a multiplayer only game to a single player only game in two entirely different genres

He didn't write the review. He's the editor for PSM now but some intern wrote the review. Basically someone mentioned their editor is a "xbot" (despite also in the past being a reviewer for gameboy and having his very last job as an editor in chief of a PC gaming magazine) and people ran with it that he was the reviewer.

How did we stretch the posting?

This would be Awesome if it was the default length and width.

What's going on with the servers, ioi? Rich text gone, threads weirding out, traffic jumps and it crawls, then it's smooth. We want answers, baby!

Dunno. It's prlatino's 2nd that has it fubard. And yes, agree on the width being a lot nicer. I've practically got more combined space on the bars then the body of the site. But unfortunately, you need to design for a 1024x768 world still. Nm, caught the problem. he's got a 2nd level of html closing the table which is effecting the site and closing the forum table instead. Can a mod edit his post? The first set of /td /td /table code needs to be removed.

The yahoo review is like a gust of fresh air. They say that there is no singleplayer, but they don't tear the game apart because of it and they went into detail about how much fun it is. Take their last paragraph of the review, they say that people without a good internet connection should avoid it, but they don't dock it points because of it. Mainly, no seemingly trivial complaints about it.
