2009 Really is looking bright and beautiful for Wii.

Why do people always talk about graphics when discussing the newest wii game. From demon blade, to conduit, to sonic and the black knight, every single thread thats came out from comic con is, "OH MY GOD LOOK AT THOSE GRAPHICS." Seriously as a wii gamer the graphics are a plus but I'm much more interested in the gameplay, plot, length, how intuitive the controls are, and concept of a game is then the dam graphics.

So tell me Wii gamers why are THE MAJORITY of your posts on almost all these wii game topics related to the graphics? Not trying to start a arguement but it makes me feel like my fellow wii gamers are bitter about having a console with lesser graphics then the competition.

To be fair, when you can’t personally play a game, the quailty of graphics in games in general are usually viewed as a early indicator of effort on the developers part. And with so many developers clearly not making an effort on the Wii in the past, I can understand people reacting like that to what appear to be genuine quality attempts.

On topic, I’m not sure why I never got around to playing Overlord myself. Looked funny, and I’ve always felt there’s not enough games that actually encourage you to be a villain. I’ll probably have to check this out myself.

@ shakrak: It's because the majority of the HD fanboys go rabid about Wii's graphics. All we ever hear is how absolutely horrible Wii games LOOK. We all know they play well (the good ones of course). There are tons of great games with so-so graphics, and we all know 3rd party developers have been a lazy bunch with Wii. But now, finally, after more than 2 years, there are A LOT of upcoming Wii games that look absolutely fabulous (for the Wii). We've had to put up with crappy looking games long enough, finally some beautiful games are coming out.
ALSO, this is the internet. An optical medium. Videos and screens are all we have. We haven't played the games. You can't talk about controls, gameplay, playtime or whatever when you have only SEEN the game.

nice so when can we see the Wii version? this is the 360 version right....? :P

Even though the video quality sucks I must say this game is looking pretty sweet and is moving up on my list.
