Played this to death at my mates the last 24 hours. Will be honest the game is good. Not amazing as I was hoping for, but definately worth a purchase. The game at times has awesome graphics (mainly when the effects are in full flow, and the animation) but sometimes it looks really drab. And what I didnt expect was the textures to be so low res. But the upside is the PS3 has a good FPS from the demo. Gameplay is pretty standard even if the controls feel stiff (the sixaxis makes you cringe though, tilting to one side and watching the screen tilt is LOL).

I must admit I was wrong, the intro of the game is definately in CGI because the gameplay is alot lower in graphics. Still the game is a big improvement over the original, just doesnt stand out (mainly due to gameplay and the promises of god like graphics) it just falls short of the hype. Also with gameplay as refined as Half life 2, Gears 2, Halo 3 and Bioshock it's hard to love it. Anyways here it is. Enjoy the awesome effects and animation the game has to offer.

i liked the demo and thought the graphics were excellent, i think that the demo was not the best looking level though but since its early on in the game, its a good starting point, thats why they chose it

I read somewhere the demo build was from 2008. I can't say for sure though. In either case what do you think of the AI ? Personally i was extremely surprised. They shoot at me from the front while others sneaked up behind me. Though they get really scared when you run at them with the Knife XD that's epic. Shit, i'd run too if some crasy guy 1 meter from me was rushing at me with a knife.

I like how it seems they don't notice you always because that's how you feel as a player too.

^ Yeah I like the game. It just isnt what we were promised. I hope there are far more enemies on screen later to, because the demo was really sparse compared to other recent games.

Another thing that disappointed me was the breakable scenery. We were all lead to believe the cover breaks up and all that. Well to be honest it rarely happened much. I sat crouched behind a tin sheet and it didnt break up at all. There obviously was some preset building explosions, but to be honest Gears 2 breakable cover was better against the KZ2 demo. Just feel let down.

But fingers crossed it ramps up a few notches to stand with the HL2's, Gears2's and Halo 3's of the world mainly in gameplay. I just want 40 - 60 enemies on screen like Halo 3 or Gears 2. Heres hoping :)

Yeah the AI is very good. That I forgot to mention. It reminded me of the first time in Halo 3 when you shooting some grunts and 2 Elites would flank you and grenade you. KZ2 definately keeps you on your toes with very decent AI.

Watching the demo is just like playing the demo.

You don't get that satisfaction of killing an enemy that you would expect from a FPS.

When watching this you can see the person having the same problem with aiming as I did.

I've played this demo maybe 4 times and you just can't get a good feel for the aim system, ya you catch some shots but even when zoomed in you feel as if your just shooting wildly and that takes away from the satisfaction.

I guess the best way to describe it is:

When you play a FPS and you and your friend kill the same guy, and he gets more hits on the enemy then you, you know it, you have that feeling that your bullets just didn't get he hits that your friend got.

Same goes for this game when killing an enemy, but with out your friend being there, just you killing an enemy in this game just doesn't have that satisfaction kill.

Shooting feels like you just ran around a corner pressing the trigger while running, and well with the same result..

But thats just my take on the Demo, I hope this is an early 2008 build, because that would mean my concerns would be fixed.

Will this game support Mouse / keyboard?   because this might knix all my concerns as well... lol

The gameplay is pretty amazing. The graphics are nice and I love how the cutscene just goes straight into the game.

Have you played many FPS's. That is a serious question and not me being sarcastic or anything. I just wondered because after playing several it's the gameplay that lets it down. Yes the graphics are not what we were lead to believe they were, but the gameplay is my let down. It's not that different from the first game really, but it is better.

My demo review would give it 8 overall.
