I'm not questioning your opinion, waron, but what's the difference with GoW2 then?:) (aside from the point of view being third person). It's also just another shooter, with bumped up graphics and huge hype among 360 fans.

The fact that this game dosent cater to the casuals with there auto lock on,accurate 20 round burst  means its alirght in my book :)

    I LOLed so hard at that point. Years of development and falls short of a relatively new game on the scene.

    Your LOL'ing in vain because Edge seems to be the minority opinion this time .

     

     

    Funny is funny, seriously you don't see it as funny? I think it's hilarious that a game that just recently was confirmed for a stateside release cause it being such a small game got an 8 when a multimillion dollar game thats been in development for at least 4 years got a lower score. I almost spit water out cause I wasn't expecting that at all.

    Uhm no not at all, when you see 9's and 10's across the board and when you see a 7 you expect anything that's not pure gold to get trashed and then out of no where a little game like let's tap gets an 8 and then you spit up your water.

    From that I've seen in that gaf thread, the review is pretty positive overall. The say the game has amazing multiplayer, and some of the best AI seen in a game yet.

    Here's a quote from the final paragraph of the review:

    Thanks largely to its online play, Killzone 2 should find itself a fanbase no one can overlook.


    One of the comments on the article:

    Just finished reading Edge's review of this, they liked the gunplay, the story 'stinks', the Helghast provide some of the best enemy AI seen yet, FEAR is name checked along with Stalker and COD4, the levels could be played in any order and still have no effect on the plot, multiplayer is good and probably bolsters the score of 7/10

    i'm not saying anything about gow2 or any other tps/fps - for me mirror's edge, metroid prime 3, bioshock, dead space and portal are the only ones that deserve 9 or 10 mark.

    Because they're generally harsh as hell.  As pointed out above, even games like Metroid Prime get 7s from Edge.

    The only exceptions seem to be Gears and Halo (Gears 2 got a 9, Halo 2 got a 9, Halo 3 got a 10).

    Gunplay =/= controls, take that MM :P

    Gunplay is meaning more of the style, weapons, and feel, not the controls if it was the controls he would have stated controls and not "gunplay"
