Forums - Sony - EDGE hammers Killzone 2 - 7.0

@ferret- SO TRUE...ppl care too much about reviews just so they can brag and rub it to the other consoles owners faces...I know KZ2 is a damn good game(played the demo) so I don't really make such big deal out of small things like this as long as I enjoy the game...BTW this reminds me of R2 I really enjoyed that game and it got 87 on metrics and some pathetic fanboys makes treads about it saying "AHAHAHAHA only 87 SUCK S*** ANOTHER FAILURE FOR THE PS3" lol it just makes me wonder if there are still true gamers left in this generation or all there is now is just immature low life retards.

^so true, there are no real gamers left, just your regular retards.

Ok, I have a slightly off topic question. For a long time on this site, Gamerankings was the traditional meter stick fanboys used to debate games, then somewhere along the line (I am fairly sure it was around the release of GTA4) it shifted to Metacritic; which leaves me wondering, why the change up. I mean it was like everyone on the site switched over at once, did I miss something?

OK Seriously have you guys seen some of the reviews they give out. They gave games like MGS4 8's that like disrespectful to the programmers and the creators of these games. They are basically saying 5 years of hard work was for nothing anyway I usually follow Ign's reviews or gamespot so this reviews means nothing.

I don't think an 8 of 10 means what you think it means.

I find Gamerankings unusable; the layout is awful. Metacritic is so much more user friendly so it's always been my favourite.

"Being rated higher than Killzone 2 is awesome" - Headstrong Games

Talking to D+PAD earlier this week, The House of the Dead: Overkill developers Headstrong Games have expressed their delight at having their game score higher than Killzone 2 in the most recent issue of EDGE Magazine.

When asked how it felt to be rated higher than Killzone 2, lead producer Neil McEwan replied:

"It feels pretty awesome! You know, because we thought we're on the Wii, it's a light gun game, it's another on-rails shooter, we thought people would bring us down.

"I SKIPPED HOME with EDGE's review, we put a lot of effort into this game and I think that shows."

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

One review is nothing to brag about. How about comparing their gamerankings or metacritic scores ?
