Not trying to be a dick here, but we all know damn fucking well that if this was a good score and was posted by any one of the normal PS3 fans here we wouldn't be having this discussion.

We would have people bitching "Why isn't this in the KZ2 thread?" or "Don't we have have enough KZ2 on the main page?". Now in this case that same rule does not apply and it is "Ha! Look at the low score for KZ2 and let us post like mad in the thread to keep it bumped."

That is how I have been seeing it lately, some who bitched lately are even posting in this thread without bitching on the same thing they did before.

I could care less for the score though because I have already played the game and know I will buy it, but I am just pointing out the hypocrisy... once again... like Montana did lastnight, I do today.

If I am somehow wrong and people did not bitch about KZ2 threads and asking them to be put into the Official thread all the time, I apologize, but I am sure we all know I am not wrong.

I think OkeyDokey is trying to say that none of those two games deserved the score they got. Both of them are far better then what edge rated them.

Edge is biased against PS3. They even gave LBP game of the year.

I am not worked up at all. I just wanted to point it out.

Anything other comments I would have had in regards to this game and/or this score would have been made in the Official thread, like everyone originally... or so I thought,  wanted everyone to do.

I agree with this post. Edge doesn't "hate" the PS3, they just have a different opinion than the "majority" of gaming publications out there when it comes to Killzone 2. They rated Deadly Dreatures a 5/10, IGN rated it an 8. Does this make them Nintendo haters too?

LBP was garbage!!! I say that Edge is biased against the Xbox 360 for denying good games like Gears of War 2 and placing that rotting fish up on a pedastool.

In reality if LBP got 10/10 then Gears 2 deserved 20/10, its that much better. LBP defines average, but because Gears 2 is an Xbox 360 exclusive it defines excellence and because its twice as good you really can't go higher than 10 so you've got to give LBP a 5, though thats being generous to the rabid Sony fanboys.

Seriously now, get over yourself people! Doesn't anyone find it disturbing that they are giving essentially the same scores when people on this forum can find fault with some aspects?

Does anyone also find it disturbing that the honest reviews don't come out until well after the positive advertorial pieces have had their say?

I know I said I would not respond anymore after my last post, but I couldn't hepl but respond here.

Apologies if I am understanding this wrong, but are you trying to say that all the "Good" or "Great" reviews that came out before this are biased or have some "behind the scenes" reason for the high scores it recieved? Only reviews that give Killzone 2 score much like EDGE just did are the only ones we could consider "Honest"?

If so, that is the worst bullshit I have ever heard and I can honestly say I never expected this from you.

As I said though, if this is not what you are saying I apologize. Part of me hopes this is just Squilliam being sarcastic as usual.

Its not a swipe against KZ2, its a swipe at the review process in general. The earlier reviews almost always come out extremely positive and the later reviews come out much more balanced between the good and the bad. Its not that all the scores for all the hyped games which come out earlier are biased its just that poor reviews for games like these cannot come out earlier and the games companies are protecting their best interests which is understandable and manipulating the review process. The review industry is incestuous with their advertisers, one poor review can mean 10s of thousands of dollars worth of advertising pulled from a site or magazine.

It bothers me in many ways that a game like LBP is robbed of its pride of place at the top by some (extra) shifty review work from other games (GTAIV). Other games are robbed of higher scores, and I think Uncharted falls into this grouping because of a lack of advertising funds for the game so whilst it may be as good as other games which have been reviewed higher, it doesn't get that special treatment. See, for example I called out Eurogamers 10/10 for Fable 2 when they have a FULL PAGE ADVERTISEMENT on the front of the site, can you really trust a review under those conditions for example?

PS3 total average review score for - 6.6.
