Nintendo fans are a weird bunch. You spend more time masturbating over Nintendo's profits as if you own stock in the company than talking about their games.

Did you post in the wrong thread? Who was talking about Nintendo profits? I'm looking at the last couple of pages of posts and I don't see a single mention of profit.

Even through this site, a site that's about game sales, you'll see more threads about upcoming Nintendo games than Nintendo profit.

But you should also understand, that profit is a good thing to talk about. Profit determines the future released games. If consoles and games don't become profitable they don't last on the market.

lol I have a “hardcore” gamer friend who never made it past the first dungeon in Zelda he thought it was to hard :P

The only reason we the “hardcore” Nintendo gamers find games like Zelda easy is because we know what to look at. We know there are puzzles that need to be solved and hidden items that need to be found.

Games like halo are shot and continue yeah that’s “hardcore” baby!

lol you mentioned MP3 as an easy game? Are you kidding me have you even played it?
Games like SMG are hard for the casuals yet easy for us the “hardcore” because we are used to playing games get that in to your head.

You talk like the only games that are easy are made by Nintendo WTF a lot of games made by other companies are easy and they are “hardcore”

Most of the time someone defines "Hardcore Games" on a web-forum their definition boils down to "The kind of games I like" which is why there are so many aguments over the term ...

In my opinion there are no "Hardcore Games" ... There are a lot of long standing genres with large fan bases and several established series, and these could be called "Core Games" because they represent the center of focus on the industry and gamers.

Number 1. I got my NES when I was 3 years old, I beat you

Number 2. I beat the NES Ninja Turtles game when I was 4, that was hardcore let me tell you

Number 3. I had to use a guide for parts in MP3 - You wouldn't need to do that in any other FPS, especially Halo

Number 4. A lot of people started gaming with the PS1, casuals then and hardcore now?

Number 5. I think that it's great that more gamers are coming into the market as gaming will become more of an accepted form of entertainment like movies, TV and literature - Also the more consumers, the more games.

Number 6. You are a child. When I was young I didn't like my brother liking Pokemon because it was MY favourite past time - you are a child.

@Happy Squrriel: Basically core audience means existing audience as opposed to new audience. This can also be split to describe audiences of different genres.
