Forums - Nintendo - How well will HOTD/Tenchu/Deadly creatures sell?

Now that we've seen positive reviews, how well do you think wii's big three will sell next week? I don't think any of them will open with massive numbers. House of the dead should come out on top with, with tenchu following a little ways behind. I think deadly creatures will take a big hit because gamers only have so much money, and the latter are more well established.

What are your first week, and LTD predictions?

Mine:

House of The dead: 1st, 35,000...LTD, 1 million WW ( I think sales will stay consistent for a while)

Tenchu: 1st week, 20,000,, LTD 200-400k WW

Deadly Creatures: 1st, 10,000,,, LTD 150-250k WW

I'm just trying to be realistic. My first week for HOTD is low because of the obvious time of the year, and these three games competing for the same market. At the same time I think alot of zombie games have sold well on wii, people like zapper games, and the house of the dead name. I do think the sales should stay pretty consistent though because most wii games do and word of mouth. Tenchu and deadly creatures sales mught seem pretty low, but like I said I was trying to be realistic.

Of course I'll be way off. :P Just wondering other peoples predictions though.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

probaly poorly, but we can dream. HoD will sell up to 1mil.

maybe and hopefully the others will sell well.

HotD and maybe Tenchu will sell pretty well while Deadly Creatures flops.

i think all of them are going to sell subpar to be honest. maybe below 500k for each game.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

House of The dead: 1st, 20,000, LTD 1 million + or - . Given the number of people who bought 2&3 Return, there are bound to be a few hundred thousand thinking, "OMG, new HOTD! I want that!"

Tenchu: 1st week, 9,000, LTD 100-200k WW. Tenchu games never did sell all that well, and I think the highest selling one was Tenchu Z, selling at .32 million in its lifetime.

Deadly Creatures: 1st, 8,000, LTD 125-225k WW. Not to sure, there are bound to be a few bug enthusiasts who are giddy right now, but I would like to know how many more people are. On the other hand, De Blob surprised us reaching 700,000 (said in another article at least). This one might have a chance as well.

HoTD will sell
tenchu will sell around 300-500K
deadly creatures is gonna flop

Tenchu and HotD: Overkill should do fine. About a 20k-30k opener in America for Tenchu would be my guess and about a 50k-75k opener for Overkill in America and Europe. Deadly Creatures though, will probably do bad. About 20k-30k WW opener and I doubt it'll have much legs.

HOT LTD sales: 1 million plus
tenchu LTD: 200K
deadly creatures LTD: 100k(less but thats an more round up figure)

@myviewing, nice predictions. I probably did set mine a little high.

The fact that these games have such little excitement around them really dissaopints me though. I mean something like 15,000 people have managed to sign a winter petition, but it seems like not alot of people are actually interested in playing the games coming out now. I'd hope pretty well all core wii game players are picking something up next week, but I imagine alot of them will just continue to complain.

That being said I think that HOTD does have its shot at the platinum mark. Alot of people love to play arcade shooters, and alot of the more mature mainstream players should give it legs. House of the dead is a pretty well established name, I'd say from the arcade games.

Wii stuff can be so unpredictable.

This. Honestly I can't make a prediction about these games. Well probably House of the Dead because it's a quite popular franchise and had good sales with the 2&3 disc.
