2nd bold: No.....a Nintendo console STILL doesn't have DVD

Uhm..yes it does:

"For the Wii, Nintendo extended the technology to use a full size 12-cm, 4.7/8.54 GB DVD-based disc (RVL-006), enabling it to have the benefits of the Nintendo GameCube Game Disc, while having the standard capacity of a double-layer DVD-ROM."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_optical_discs

Next time investigate before spilling lies.

Funny, because I still can't watch movies on the system....

If you have homebrew you could. It has a DVD drive, but Nintendo uses propreitary discs for the games. The games have about the same size as a DVD(same thing with dual layered). Also @ your other comparison between the Wii and Xbox's cpus I just want to say that a Power PC architecture will probably out perform a Celeron/Pentium 3 hybrid per cycle on a regular basis. The cpu isn't the only thing to factor in when talking about a console's power anyway.

Fallout 3 > Every 3rd party exclusive for the Wii and many of its 1st party games. So shove it

And how many Wii games have you played exactly?

I'm certainly glad you enjoy Fallout 3 enough to insult me over it, but for me it's just another bland RPG where you're the world's errand boy for a bunch of typical trite quests and a storyline of saving a world full of stock characters and monsters.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Just another? How is it "just another" when there aren't any other games out there like it? Nothing else is like Fallout except Bethesda's own Oblivion. And I've played plenty of Wii games both 1st and 3rd party. I damn well should be able to play it after looking months on end for it for my neice last year. And after playing said games, Fallout 3 STILL > Every 3rd party Wii exclusive and some 1st party games

The thing is every system has games which provide the experience singular to that console. Personally, I find the variety and depth of the Wii library simply remarkable. You just don't have games like No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, Boom Blox among others on the HD consoles. And for me, if had to choose one, Metroid provides the experience which cannot be replicated on any other system. There's simply nothing like it on other consoles and there's simply no other game like Metroid. But that doesn't mean that I dismiss other systems or consoles. It all just comes down to the personal preference.

3rd parties need to shut the fuck up and bite the bullet already. They were wrong about the Wii. Period.

Wouldn't be how I phrase it, but I think this post is about right.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge that there is at least one F**K he*d in each gaming company, so let's not judge bethesda too harshly on one idiots call.

Interesting though, traditionally PC company's seem to hate the Wii, maybe it's a sign that the Wii mote is intimidating for the mouse and keyboard crowd. (or maybe I'm wrong)

Yes, this whole thing is odd.

He didn't just mock the Wii, he mocked the 360 and PS3 as well, calling them "evil killfests."

Confirmed: Bethesda would rather murder dozens of people than work on the Wii.

The people who make the games can turn more of a profit if they make a game for the PS3/360/PC and leave the wii to other people. The wii has changed what the general public sees games as. In the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era the PS2 was king, It had alot of hadcore gamers but also casual. The wii is selling no games other then first party titles. That being said, I want mad world and the conduit, but there are looooads more games I want for the PS3/360/PC. Most wii games are for children so parents can buy them. The other systems are for people who have been playing games their whole life.

Look at the top sold wii titles. Mainly first party games correct?

In fact 12 of the top 16 wii titles in sales are nintendo. The ones past that are in the 2million mark, where many games will sell more combined between the 260/PS3/PC then it would if you dumb it down for the wii.(Technically speaking of course)

I said current events.

Look at the past few months with Wii 3rd party titles selling more than X360 and PS3 3rd party titles.  Point being the Wii now sells more 3rd party games than the other two console do.  I don't care if 1st party still makes up 40% of sales, the remaining 60% of software sales, 3rd aprties, is still bigger than the 3rd party sales on the other consoles now.
