DO I sense a little MS hate? I don`t have the link right now,but the info is out there.

Now do you want me to go the MS lawyers so you can be 100% sure the ps3 will get some Mass Effect? The fact that ME2 will be out for Pc so you can play it without owning a 360 is still a long way off,even if it will be timed exclusive...that means EA will have to ask the rights for Pc publish again from MS...what happens if they say no?

I haven't once said in this thread that Mass Effect 1 or 2 will be coming to ps3.  The first I'm sure won't, and the second isn't likely to. 

However, you claimed that the game wouldn't be going to PC, when it has already been announced for PC.  You also claimed that MS has exclusive rights for the entire trilogy, when I have never heard of such a thing, and I like to consider myself rather well informed on such matters.

 

This has nothing to do with "MS hate", but rather a lack of evidence behind anything you said.

EA owned the ME IP when the PC version was published. You are reading over that - EA had to strike a deal with MS to let EA publish the PC versions and future versions of the game.

I am wholly convinced it will never, ever happen. After seeing the Bioware PR release and EA's quotes - and their recent quotes - KZ2 has a better chance of appearing on the 360 than the ME franchise.

 

So a first party title has a higher chance of going multiplat than one owned by EA of all companies?  Madskillz, I never thought you'd go so low.

And your GTA comparison is flawed, seeing as GTAIII, VC, and SA all made their way to the Xbox once they were done being system sellers for the ps2 (if you even consider ME to be a system seller).

 

Nooooo, Music. See my point. What I am saying is - EA asked MS to publish ME. They struck an agreement to let it happen. What I was saying is in the release, all future publishing for ME AND future games will be done by EA. Having said that, no one knows the argument MS and Bioware had, but it's obvious anything ME related will require MS's approval. And ... if that's the case, it's like when Bungie was working on Halo for the PS2 - then, it vanished.

There is no way ME and the other ME games will be on the PS3. Maybe EA will find a loophole and publish it, but what I find so interesting is - there's no hint of ME PS3 anything - not ME2 or 3. I think we'll know the deal come GDC.

BTW Stan I asked for basically the same reason - I want ME on PC and you imply that somehow 2 & 3 might not make it to that platform.  I've read no such thing and wanted to see the link you mentioned.  No hate involved.

ME will almost certainly never touch PS3.

ME2 and to a lesser extent ME3 are unlikely too, but at the very least it appears ME2 will hit the Xbox 360 first.

PC is a given.
